Warning!


After going to Ralphs the other night and purchasing 2 cans of Progresso Vegetable soup (2 for $5.) and ice cream I drove hope pretty excited to eat because I love soup...
Anyway I ate the whole can.  It was good.  Not great.  A little disappointing.
I picked up the can to see how many grams of protein were in it when I see it.

Non-Vegetarian. Contains: Chicken Broth.

what the fuck

So I didn't die or anything but I was a little annoyed that there was chicken broth in my vegetable soup.  Like who puts chicken stock in vegetable soup?  Whatever I got over it and felt better when my other vegetarian friend said he just had a caesar salad the other day and totally forgot about the anchovies in the dressing.
Anyway, I went to work the next day and was telling people about it.  
This guy was like, oh you can eat chicken broth because it doesn't come from a chicken.  
This went back and forth for several minutes.
In the end I whipped out my iPhone and googled it.  Do you know what came up?
Ingredients that are NOT vegetarian:  CHICKEN BROTH.

It is VERY difficult to be a REAL vegematarian. Meat and meat by-products are in everything. There is nothing sneeky about this. They put these products in there to make the food taste better then tofu. As you know, tofu tastes like paper paste. Tofu with chicken broth is much better. You can read the ingredients and spend hundreds of hours on this....In the end, things will taste better with meat. Oh, and they are better for you....ask a Doctor.
