So, it's Monday

I work in a restaurant. I serve tables. I am aware that I am in a business where I have to deal with people. Smart people, pretty people, ugly people, and even stupid people. When I eat out & pay in cash, I do not want 72 cents back with my change. I figure since I'm a normal person that perhaps others would feel the same way. When I'm at work I prefer not to run around with coins in every pocket. Today a man (first, I thought it was a child with a speech impediment) called to order fries to go. I asked him what type of fries he wanted and he said regular. I tell him that the total will be $3.81. When he arrives at my work he tells the first person that he sees that he wants french fries to go. They put the order in. Nowwe have to deal with canceling the extra order of fries. I then have to tell him that when he calls to make a to-go order that we send the order right away. He hands me a $5 and I give him back a dollar (rounding up the 81 cents). He leaves the restaurant and drives past the window. 5 minuets later he returns to the restaurant and asks for his 19 cents. Since I don't carry around change and I wasn't about to ask my manager to give me change for $1 in the middle of our lunch rush I hand him a $1. He takes it & leaves.
On another note, I just finished my geography final. I really felt good about this test. When I chose my multiple choice I actually new that I had picked the right answer. Is this the effects of studying? Maybe I should do it more often...
Whenever I have a really good day I want to get organized. Today I was at Aliso Creek at 7AM for this project I procrastinated. I got that done, finished my chapter outlines for class, finished my atlas project, worked for 3 hours and made $$bank$$. Now I have the urge to clean my bathroom, put away my clothes, start laundry, organize my desk & vacuum. We just got this new vacuum with a ball in it. I'll blog about that later.

Updates...
Hello World!School is almost over & I've never been SO excited for SUMMER in my life. My birthday is in summer & I was always bummed as a child because A.) I couldn't bring cupcakes to school & B.) we didn't have a pool so no pool parties.
- I meet Jesus & asked him if he forgave me for my sins. He said yes- score!
- DEADMAU5 Friday, May 22.
- Last day of school is May 29th!
- DANE COOK May 30th with Kevin, Brett & Michael
- Brett's FIDM Grad Dinner June 20
- Electric Daisy Carnival June 26, 27
- Fourth of July!
- DOMINICAN REPUBLIC July 18-26
- My 20th birthday July 25!
Also- rumor has it that the iPhone monthly charges will be decreasing $10. I feel very lucky that I have a great job where I make great $. I also feel lucky that I don't have to pay rent-- I know that if I did I wouldn't be able to afford the lifestyle I live now so you know I'm going to get as much as I can out of this time before the "real life".
I spend a lot of time on the internet and watching TV shows & movies. I'm a huge fan of all of them. I am currently starting HOUSE from season 1. It's a sad time because LOST's season 5 finale is tomorrow. Which I will definitely blog about.
The bookmarks on Safari are, in this order: Gmail, $$$ (WellsFargo), AT&T, Discover, FACE (Facebook), Spiz (MySpace), Twitter, TFLN (Texts From Last Night), FML, PostSecret, Perez Hilton, TheSuperficial, WWTDD (What Would Tyler Durden Do), The Dirty, Fail Blog, You Tube, My OCC. You can clearly tell my order of preference.
Today on Kevin & Bean they were making fun of Twitter & I was laughing so hard I was tearing in the eye which is scary driving in traffic on the 405 (which I hate). I'll try to find it on youtube. They changed the words to my current favorite commercial for Dos Equis.

FML & TFLN
FML- FuckMyLife.com
Fuck My Life is a website where people post anecdotes of their true life experiences.
TFLN- TextsFromLastNight.com
Texts From Last Night is a website where you or others can post ridiculous texts about what happened last night
Both of these websites have changed my days upside down and have made me laugh for hours. I will now share with you some of my favorites:
FML:
- Today, I found a bell that had been tied into the tassel of my ski hat by my twin sister as part of a longstanding prank war between us. I'm deaf and have apparently been jingling like an elf for over a week. FML
- Today, I received my passport in the mail. They got my birthdate wrong. Then I picked up my birth certificate that I had sent in with the application. Turns out my parents have been celebrating my birthday on the wrong day for 16 years. FML
Texts From Last Night:
- (317): Thanks again for letting me crash last nite. Sorry I banged your little brother.
(913): i dont nkow, theres a guy slesping next to me and im wearing 8 tsthirts? wtf happened last night? will you come get me.
(816): i think im in thre room next to you
(856): My mom foundout about my dui nd just called me to come home. I just took acid like 30 min ago. Wht should i do?
(310): it was a shit show
(917): We all have our days. But yours might be on the internet
Thanks Internet for brightening my day!
Twitter > Facebook > MySpace
Hi, did you hear? Twitter is taking over the world! MySpace dominated my life in 2003. Facebook dominated my MySpace life in 2007. Is Twitter slowly but surely taking over my Facebook life? I'm going to hold on to FB for as long as I can, but I can make room for Twitter.
I joined Twitter in December 2008. I posted one update and forgot about it. After I read on Perez Hilton that Jennifer Aniston broke up with John Mayer because he would tweet (presente tense of twitter) so much I was like what the hell? When I saw the Twitter break up between Linsdsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson I figured ok- I was missing out on something specular.
So I started up in Twitter again last month. I've posted 32 updates which averages about 1 update per day. I feel like I came back to Twitter when all the crazy shit was going down. Ashton Kutcher said that if he reaches 1,000,000 followers before CNN's Twitter then he would donate a ridiculous amount of money for making/buying/distributing mosquito nets and ding dong ditch Ted Turner. Well he did, and he did... but he hasn't ding dong ditched Turner yet.
I'm only following about 10 people I know personally, apparently not everyone has caught on to what everyone is doing. Mostly, I follow celebrities like Ashton, Ellen DeGeneras, Kim Kardashian, Britney Spears, Ryan Seacrest, Miley Cyrus, Perez Hilton, Heidi Montag-Pratt and her new hubby Spencer Pratt.
The only complaint that I have about Twitter, other than trying to figure out how read what someone was sending to who, is the celebrities who constantly talk about how much they love Jesus. I'm just saying....

Coachella '09

The crew in front of The Do Lab.
The Do Lab was a relatively shaded are with 2 separate DJ booths where the crazies danced ang got sprayed by gigantic gun misters.

Inside The Do Lab

Feelin' the heat in The Sahara Tent where we spent most of our time. This was before Steve Aioki came on. Inside that lemonade cup is 3/4 vodka, 1/4 melted lemon ice. Kevin dropped it.

Effects of 100 degree weather. The braids were necessary. Notice the Heineken wristbands!
Kevin, Natalie, Me, & Brett in front of The Dome. The yellow on me is what was inside a broken glow stick. It got in my eye, but I lived. The Dome went off every night until 4AM. The floor was bouncing to the bass. Epic.
Coachella abducted me. It is my new home.
The day I met Kevin (April 12, 2008) all I heard about was Coachella and how stoked he was going to it. 2 weeks later I recieved calls every night from him when he went to Coachella '08. Probably everday I got to hear about his expierence and how much fun I would have next year.
Well, next year came, about a week ago. I bought my $300 tickets and $50 camping pass for the 10th anniversary of Coachella. Coachella is in Indio, California. The desert. I had my doubts. I'm not much of an outdorsey person but I am happy to say that I survived. The worst part of Coachella was actually getting there. We were 3 hours off track by the time we left. I tried my hardest not to be a bitch about it.
Thursday, April 16, we left Newport around 4:30. We arrived in Indio around 6:30 and got to our campsite right when the sun set. We had to set up our tent in the dark. Brett, Michael, Jessica, David, Jacquie, Colin, Natalie & The Candadians came with us. The first night was really fun after we set up our tents and sleeping bags. Everybody was excited to be there and every five minutes there was a rolling "WOOOOOOO" throughout the campsite.
Friday, April 17. The heat woke us up at 7:45am. Everybody was cranky. Kevin emptied out 15 waterbottles and poured in Vodka. There was nothing to really do so we started making mixed drinks around 11, but it was wayyyy to hot to "party hard". We started walking into Coachella around 2. The set times were probably scheduled the worst for us on Friday. We had to walk alllll the way to The Sahara Tent alllll the way to the main stage. LOTS of walking. The bands and deejays we saw on friday were: Cage the Elephant, Steve Aoki, Felix da Housecat, Crystal Castles, Ghostland Observatory, The Ting Tings, Girl Talk, Franz Ferdinand, Morrisey, and Paul McCartney. I was really upset that we didn't get to see Silversun Pickups but oh well I guess I could buy their CD. The highlight of the day was when Steve Aoki and his friends crowd surfed on inflatable rafts and when Kevin, Colin and I saw a naked guy get tazzed and carried away by 4 cops unconsious. During Morrissey, the guy kept talking about how he hoped that the "burning flesh" he was smelling was human. He is apparently a hardcore vegan. I passed out the moment my head hit the pillow that night and missed The Beatles songs that Paul McCartney sang.
Saturday, April 18. BEST DAY EVER. We woke up around 8 due the heat. Around 10:30, I took a shower and it felt like the best shower ever. The moment I got out I was in the best mood and didn't mind the heat at all. Around 12, I wanted to take another shower because it was so much hotter than the day before. The bands we saw on Saturday were: Surken, The Bloody Beetroots, Crookers, MSTRKFRT, Fleet Foxes, TV on the Radio, The Chemical Brothers, Theivery Corporation, and The Killers. The highlight of Saturday was meeting one of the Tools of Tool Academy. Saturday was THE FUN-NEST day and I wish that I could go back and do it again!
Sunday, April 19. This was a slower day, but still really fun. The bands and deejays we saw where: Brian Jonestown Massacre, Shepard Fairey, The Gaslight Anthem, Busy P, Sebastian Tellier, Christopher Lawrence, Etienne De Crecy, Public Enemy, Peter Bjorn and John, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and The Cure, Kill the Noise, and LA Riots. The highlight of Sunday was hearing Maps by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, seeing Flava Flav, and watching Etienne De Crecy's DJ set with the cube. GOOGLE HIM.
Monday, April 20 we headed home around 9:30. And I am still exhausted from lack of sleep and overheating multiple times. But like I said it was an amazing experience, and I am ready for next year with some minor details being changed like bringing a canopy for more shade!!!
At Coachella there was the light up cube wall, a huge snake that had fire on it, man made lightning, a giant robotic arm that lifted up cars and crushed them, and loves of crazy art and crazy people!

Starting the 4th Semester...

I attend Orange Coast College. This is my 4th semester. I'd say I coasted through high school. My teachers loved me (most of the time). It was very simple and I didn't really have to apply myself. One of my teachers was crazy and got in trouble for not giving us a final. It was Algebra 2. Everyone in the class was okay with not taking one... we weren't complainging, but in the end we were all assigned a final designed by a teacher who wasn't aware that we actually didn't learn anything in the class. Except that our teacher liked to call exponents "cute little 2s above the number".
So anyway, the past 3 semesters haven't been my... best.
But that is all changing out. & I swear I'm not just saying it and will get over it in a week. I don't want to be stuck in school forever. To be honest, I've never thought I was the type of person to be in school. I understand I need to finish college so I can get a better job, whatever that means. I like working 5 days in a restaurant and making money. I won't do that for the rest of my life though.
My school classes consist of : Geography 180, Geography 180 Lab, Math 3 days a week, Engish 100, & Mass Communications. It's okay so far.
Let's see how it goes!

Live Life Intentionally

- Everything changes and ends
- Things do not always go according to plan
- Life is not always fair
- People are not always loving and loyal
- Pain is part of life.
1: I always think of Wayne's World when I think of change. "We fear change." I like to stick to a routine but the changes that have been made over the year by myself and by others have been okay. Subtle change is the best change- I think.
2: Tonight for instance, I flipped out because Kevin was in the shower still when I got to his house. Like, why couldn't he take a shower before I even told him I was leaving my house to Newport. But you know what, it's okay. I survived, and we weren't late for anything, the movie theatre was still there. I got my point across on how it can come off as lazy- whatever it's in the past. Things don't go to accordingly, but no one dies.
3: Life isn't fair. People die when you're not ready for them to. People break up with you and you can't even plead your case anymore because they've already made up their mind. Asian's don't know how to tip. (not racist.)
4: Everybody has been hurt by another person. Everybody always thinks of themselves first and that is the way that it should be. People can be on the wrong page with each other and that is how people get hurt. What I'm getting at is what one person may think is the right thing to do, another could disagree entirely..
5: I don't think people can appreciate happiness and joy if they haven't experienced pain and sadness.
Yeah, well I just found out about this book. I haven't read it yet but I am going to. I like the theme. I think the idea of living with intention. Unintentional actions (gaining weight, being late, etc.) happen because of subconscious thoughts... which are intentional in their own way... so why not always be aware of your actions at all times?
& Something that I've heard all my life but I finally realized that it was a good thing is: Don't make decisions when you're upset.
"Fuck the Police"
I hate driving. I hate cars and I, above all, hate cops. All these things are linked. Yeah sure, they are supposed to protect us. Why do I get a mini panic attack when I see one driving- even in the opposite direction as me. I've been in enough accidents I think for the rest of my life. I met my quota there. I've only had to deal with the police twice in my assortment of accidents and I guess they were okay. I was in shock during 1, and really upset during the other. (Only 1 was my "fault". I'm not getting into that now.)
I got a parking ticket last year for being too close to a fire hydrant even though I was clearly out of the yellow markers. And I got a ticket at the OCC parking lot because me and Coll lost the sticker pass thing. Now let's get to my "pull overs". I've been pulled over numerous occasions, but never like tonight. Once I was pulled over on Sand Canyon for going 80 in a 60. I can respect that. The cop told me to put my hand out and he smacked it lightly and let me go. Another time I rolled a right turn on a red light. I didn't even realize I did it. "California Stop"... I was let go with a warning. One night I was driving Colleen home from Newport and right as I got off the freeway I was followed by a cop. I was getting really nervous that I wasn't driving straight enough that I was freaking myself out. I was of course perfectly normal and okay to drive. I decided to turn left instead of going straight and they followed. Then they sped up in front of me, hit the brakes, and turned their lights on. I don't have a front license plate. There's a place for it, but my dad accidently put my mustang's (RIP) plate on it, so I took it off and never put on the real one. When I got pulled over this time it was like 1 o'clock in the morning. The cop gave me a sobriety test. It was dumb. They let me go. Then I got pulled over the other night for having my front light out. I thought it was just the parking light but I guess not. He didn't even give me a fix it ticket. I fixed it the next day. So I've never been in trouble with the police. I've always been let go. I give them the information they need and I'm not a dumbass who thinks it's a good idea to drink and drive. Sure I've been in a couple of accidents but I'm not stupid and above all I'm not rude to these cops who I dislike so much.
Tonight was a different story. Kevin and I were eating a frosty from Wendy's outside of it and there was a cop slowly creeping apparently watching these other guys. But this cop still made me feel uneasy. Then I got this new app on my iPhone that tells you where cops usually are and like traffic cameras and things like that. Colin and Jacqui picked Kevin and I up to go get donuts around 10:15 tonight. On the ride there and back we saw 3 cops. It was a cop kind of night. Ironic. In the left turn line off PCH towards Kevin's house, our destination, a cop pulls up behind us. Sure enough we get pulled over. The driver didn't have his license on him and I guess he had an outstanding ticket so he had to get out of the car. We thought he was getting arrested because his hands were behind his back but they were checking him for like drugs and weapons. One by one we got out of the car and got checked. Then we had to sit on the curb for 45 min while the lady cop ripped apart the car. Extremely unnecessary. I had an anxiety attack during this experience and I am still freaked out by it. It shouldn't have happened. Retarded. He got a ticket and we got to go home. Guess what day it is. Well when we got pulled over it was January 29th.. the end of the month. Is that something to say for this quota meeting bullshit?
I dunno... I'm greatful for not getting a ticket for anything but come one. Go bust meth labs or something.

So I've Come To The Conclusion...
I hate PCs. Ive literally spent almost 2 hours trying to hook up my moms scanner to my mac. I called HP tech support and he said that all he could do was transfer me to a tech guy and charge me $35 dollars. I asked him if that was really his job and hung up on him.
Finally Dad is downloading some gigantic file so I can scan my amazing pictures.
Cross your fingers it works bitches.

Back in Action
So about 2 1/2 years ago I bought this frame off Urban Outfitters and filled it with pictures and well.... things didn't really work out with some of the people in the frame... but I refilled it today! It's a bubble frame, so from depending on what way you look at it, it looks really cool.
I am on a cleaning frenzy and found it hiding in the back of my closet. It was a good/weird feeling ripping off and throwing away the old pictures. Oh well, the time has come (well it already has) but OFFICIALLY to move on.
I just threw away 2 trashbags filled with half empty shampoos and old lotions hiding under my bathroom sinks (I have 2 sinks). I've finished cleaning 1/2 of my closet. On the other half the entire pole hanger thing fell down so all my shirts are stuffed in my drawers which I am now realizing that I need.
I am over gadgets and little trinkets being displayed on my desk. You know model homes? I want to move right into one and not add a single fucking vase or fruit basket. Anyway... I need to get new light bulbs up in my closet too. It's a dungeon in there. It is literally never ending.. I'm afraid to go to the very end. There are probably 200 books and super old clothes.
About every 6-8 months I go through my clothes and put aside the ones I don't wear anymore. I wouldn't consider myself a hoarder... but it's starting to look that way and it scares me and I want it to stop immediately.
I thought I was finished with my desk until I found another box of "office supplies". Everyone always looks for the scissors in my house and well... I've found 8. Oops.
Here's a picture of my cool frame that I am proud of and I'm off to do more cleaning.
Oh yeah! Also Kevin showed me the new "band" or group I don't even know what to call it. Download the song My Delirium- Ladyhawke immediately.
Also- Meredith & Colleen, I know love Lady Gaga.
Things I am excited for:
- Buying school supplies
- Meredith's new job!
- Making a dinner with Kevin with my Nintendo DS
- Postal Service CD coming out
- Franz Ferdinand (sp?) CD coming out
- My dad buying us a BluRay
- Watching Planet Earth on it.
- Watching Shark Week on it.
- Camping with Kevin, Brett, & Michael
- Vegas with Kevin, Taylor, & Co.
- Coachella with the world
And to everyone out there stop what you're doing right away and go buy a Wii Fit.

This Past Weekend...
So it's been awhile since I've wrote something...
These past 2 weeks have been alright-okay. I spent most of my time with Kevin. Michelle came back from USC so it was really good catching up with her! Cameron is learning to share Colleen with me. Coll & I are trying to get Kevin and Cam to become friends so we can do more things together... or at least that is my plan. Meredith and Shaun also came down from San Fran, but I only got to spend like 2 or 3 nights with them :(.
Work has kind of been annoying. Usually the first person who comes in is the first person to leave. There is always something to work around though because some people have children or other jobs- whatever. But there are also out times on the schedules. The thing with out times are that NO ONE follows them. On Friday I was scheduled 11:15-1:30. At 2:45 I was told to take the front half of the restaurant. Um, I wasn't aware that I was supposed to close? It isn't that big of a deal you know but they should just delete all the out times because apparently it's a waste of ink.
We drove down to San Diego Friday night to meet at Verdone's new house. He brought some girl as his date named Sarah, Brett & Michael came, and so did Jess & David. We went to Donovan's Steak House for Restaurant Week. At the bar, I ordered a glass of Pinot Noir. "You're 21 right?" A nod was all it took. The food was amazing. It was a 3 course meal for only $40. I ordered a chopped salad with a vinaigrette dressing, the 6 oz filet with 2 jumbo shrimp scampi with amazing mashed potatoes and veggies. For dessert, they actually ran out of creme brulee so I went with the Key Lime Pie. We also ordered 2 bottles of wine of the table. I don't remember what kind of wine it was. It was soooo fun though! Restaurant Week has moved up to Newport area and its $20-30 per person up here.
Kev and I spent the money to see My Bloody Valentine 3D. Blah, the effects were cool though. And we went to See's right before and stocked up on some Bordeuxs or however you spell it.
It seems that something "big" is happening every month until Summer, so that is something to look very foward to!
School starts February 2. The next weekend, Kevin, Brett, Michael and I are driving up to Big Sur to go camping. Michael knows the girl who owns the resort so we get to stay for free. I just bought this 0F Swiss Army sleeping bag. I'm pretty excited for this... I wonder what food we're going to bring..
In March we have Colleen's 20th birthday, which I'm sure will be fun! And Kevin's best friend Taylor is turning 21 and has 2 suites at the Wynn so we're staying there for a weekend. I've only been to the Vegas airport so yeah. I know I can't gamble but we'll figure something out.
April 11th is Kevin's 21st. After that is Coachella- a 3 day music festival where camping is also involved.
Thats all for now

So Lately...

So Kevin and I went to Griffith Park Observatory the other night. I've been before, but it was his first time. We really like the huge ceiling movie thing. Above are some pictures from the night. I used my digital camera.
Over the past few days many things have been happening. I had to cancel my debit card because the two companies that have been charging still have my information so it is just a precaution. Actually one of the companies e-mailed me saying that they found my blog online by using webloyalty.com. I think that's a little scary but I don't have to deal with them anymore. E-mail me if you want to see a copy of the e-mail. Because my card got cancelled I had to go into AT&T to pay my bill. I had no idea that there was a little kiosk that took cash. I think I'll always use it because it was kind of cool. I put in an extra $20, it doesn't give change. So now I have an $18 credit with them. Nice.
Things I'm looking forward to:
- San Diego Donovan Steak House Dinner in San Diego
- Notorious BIG Movie
- The Unborn Movie
- My Bloody Valentine 3D IMAX Movie
- Making bank for the next couple of shifts
- The last couple days of winter break
Things I'm not so much looking forward to:
- Paying my credit card bill
- School starting
